This piece above, which I've titled Skyline, was actually going to be done in color. I got it about half way done with it when I realized I didn't have enough time and just decided to make it a black and white drawing instead, and I'm glad I did because the awesome chief editor, Brent Rowland, of Inscape, BYU's Journal of Literature and Art, likes it and it's going to be publish in the next issue of Inscape.
The idea for the illustration below stemmed from walking around the lakes at Central Park. I thought it would be cool to see the view from the other side: the viewer (i.e.. you) seeing what the object is, the mystery behind it and the curious, yet unsuspecting couple that just happened to look down, resulting in the story one can make up from there.
